Safetee was founded to answer that question — and to build the product the golf world didn't know it needed. Engineered in Germany. Recognised at the Ryder Cup.
A European innovation with a global mission
Safetee was founded by a team of engineers and golf enthusiasts in Germany who witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of ball-strike injuries. What began as a weekend conversation evolved into years of materials research, prototyping, and rigorous testing.
The breakthrough came with the development of our proprietary X-Light material — a compound that is extraordinarily light yet capable of absorbing up to 87% of impact energy. Unlike traditional protective gear, it doesn't compromise on comfort or aesthetics.
Our debut at the 2020 PGA Show earned us the prestigious Inventors Spotlight recognition. By 2023, we had signed an official licensing deal with the Ryder Cup, supplying protective headwear to volunteers and officials at the Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome.
